Hybrids is inspired by the dawn of AI art and its mixed reception in the creative community.

On one hand it makes visual art production more accessible to non-artists.

On the other, it has the potential to devalue the hard work and skills of professional artists.

Regardless of how we feel about AI art, it is here to stay.
And with rapid innovation in AI video generation promising even further advances in the field, it got me thinking.

“How long before music meets the same fate?”

It’s with that question in the back of my mind that I began writing the track that would become Hybrids.
Using different AI algorithms I created inspirations for the melodies and the release artwork.

In essence it is a meeting of minds, an amalgamation of my own ideas and those generated by Artificial Intelligence algorithms.

Ultimately I think these tools won’t replace artists, but definitively change how we make art.
The tools I used required a lot of ideation and curation to reach a result that I would call satisfactory.
I guess we will see where this road leads in the coming years.
